The Aeroplan Program is a coalition loyalty marketing program owned and operated by Aeroplan Inc. (hereafter referred to as "Aeroplan"). The Aeroplan Program allows members to earn Aeroplan Miles through the purchase of products and services from Aeroplan's partners and redeem Aeroplan Miles for a variety of travel, merchandise, gift cards, and other rewards. In accepting to join or continue your Aeroplan Membership, you acknowledge that Aeroplan assumes no contractual or legal responsibility to you and has specifically limited its legal obligations in its arrangements with the partners to whom Aeroplan sells Aeroplan Miles, and from whom rewards are supplied. The accumulation of Aeroplan Miles does not entitle members to any vested rights and, in accumulating Aeroplan Miles, members may not rely upon the continued availability of any award, reward, award/reward grid or level, premium, privilege program or other benefit. Changes to any of these matters may affect Aeroplan Miles that a member has already accumulated, as well as any future accumulation of Aeroplan Miles. Current Aeroplan and partner offerings for the accumulation or redemption of Aeroplan Miles, including information on your mileage balance, are posted at aeroplan.com. Purchases of goods and services from participating partners prior to enrolment are not eligible for the accumulation of Aeroplan Miles. Aeroplan specifically reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the Aeroplan Program upon 60 days' notice. By enrolling in the Aeroplan Program or collecting Aeroplan Miles, you agree to these General Terms and Conditions and you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy at aeroplan.com/privacypolicy. In particular, you acknowledge and accept as a condition of continued membership that:
- Aeroplan Miles have no monetary value whatsoever and cannot under any circumstances form the basis of a monetary claim against Aeroplan.

Aeroplan Membership is limited to natural persons, and no corporation, trust, partnership or other entity may hold membership in the Aeroplan Program except as may be authorized by Aeroplan at its sole discretion.
Aeroplan Memberships and accounts are administered online only. Each member is required to have a valid email address. Using a valid email address, a member is responsible for creating online credentials in order to access an account, review account details including transactions, messages from Aeroplan, account updates and to complete transactions. - Aeroplan Miles or rewards or any other benefits are personal to the member and cannot be exchanged for cash, assigned, traded, willed or otherwise transferred (other than with the consent of Aeroplan and in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions), and any assignment or transfer in violation of these rules will be void and may, at the discretion of Aeroplan, result in the loss of membership or the cancellation of the affected reward, benefit or miles, as the case may be.

Notwithstanding any of the above, Aeroplan may, from time to time, in its sole discretion, allow members to do the following:
- transfer miles to another account
- transfer miles after death
- top up miles
- reinstate expired miles.
- Aeroplan assumes no liability to members whatsoever by reason of the termination of, or amendment to, the Aeroplan Program, in whole or in part, the addition or deletion of reward partners (including Air Canada), limitations on the availability of flights or seats, changes made by Aeroplan Partners to their terms and conditions, or any change made in accordance with sections 6 to 8 below.

Aeroplan specifically reserves the right to unilaterally amend the provisions of these General Terms and Conditions regarding:
- the nature of the Aeroplan Program
- partner, supplier, or vendor obligations and liability
- rights and liabilities of Aeroplan or members
- communications
- enrolment and membership conditions, restrictions and sanctions
- the accumulation, redemption, expiry or cancellation of miles
- characteristics or attributes of miles
- rights to or associated with miles, errors or delays with respect to rewards or the crediting or debiting of miles
- purchase of miles
- the termination of the Aeroplan Program or membership, or the subjects under these General Terms and Conditions that may be amended and the manner of doing so
- governing law and jurisdiction.
- Aeroplan will give 30 days' notice of any changes to these General Terms and Conditions, and a comparison illustrating the changes.
- If a member does not accept any change, the member may cancel membership in the Aeroplan Program within 30 days after the effective date of the change, by way of notice to Aeroplan, without cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity.
- Aeroplan assumes no liability with respect to rewards claimed, and in particular, shall have no responsibility for the delay or failure to deliver rewards or for their cancellation, damage or defects. You agree that Aeroplan and any of its affiliates, subsidiaries or representatives are not responsible for, and you release us and them from any and all liability arising as a result of, any accident, loss, injury or damage caused by any rewards supplied or requested in connection with the Aeroplan Program.
- Aeroplan or its partners may refuse reward redemptions, reverse reward redemptions already claimed, or deduct miles from a member's account where the redemption is based on an error in the mileage required for the redemption or an error in the amount of miles credited to an account, whether that error occurred through an act or omission of Aeroplan or one of its partners or suppliers. Each Aeroplan Member consents to the disclosure of the account information that is necessary or useful to achieve the reversal.
- In the unlikely event that one of Aeroplan's Partners becomes insolvent, Aeroplan reserves the right to reverse any miles that were accumulated through that partner within the 30-day period prior to the partner's insolvency or anytime thereafter.
- In the case of Aeroplan Miles purchased directly by members, Aeroplan's sole liability to the member shall be the refund of the purchase price paid in the event such Aeroplan Miles are not used within 12 months (it being understood that any reward premiums obtained after the purchase of miles shall be conclusively deemed to have been obtained first from purchased Aeroplan Miles and second from other Aeroplan Miles).
- Aeroplan Membership is a privilege that can be revoked by Aeroplan at its discretion at any time and without compensation including, without limitation, abuse by the member of any of these General Terms and Conditions or any other actions deemed by Aeroplan, acting in its sole discretion, to be deleterious to Aeroplan, the Aeroplan Program or the interests of its partners or suppliers.
- In order to accumulate or redeem Aeroplan Miles, you must be an Aeroplan Member in good standing.
- Aeroplan's principal form of communication with a member will be by email. By participating in the Aeroplan Program, members agree that all Aeroplan Program, Aeroplan Membership and account communications will be provided to a member electronically only. From time to time, members may receive personalized offers or exclusive offers extended to certain segments of our membership or selected members.
- Members can withdraw consent to receive marketing material at any time by updating their profile at aeroplan.com, by unsubscribing from any email or by contacting the Aeroplan Contact Centre.
- Members shall be responsible for all taxes, fees, charges (including but not limited to departure and security charges), surcharges and levies imposed by or with the authority of any government, governmental authority, airport, airport authority, aviation authority, air carrier or airline (including but not limited to those in respect to any rewards travel or benefit) and any service fee imposed by Aeroplan.
- Aeroplan and all companies affiliated with Aeroplan will not be responsible for correspondence lost or delayed in the mail, by email or otherwise.
- Aeroplan does not own, manage, operate or control any airline, nor is it responsible for any airline activities relating to, and including, flight schedules, seat selection, baggage allowance and applicable fees, schedule changes, and flight cancellations or delays. Flights redeemed using Aeroplan Miles are subject to the airline's applicable terms and conditions and their liability may be limited by their tariffs, conditions of carriage and international conventions and arrangements. Details are available in the flight itinerary.
- The reciprocal agreement between Aeroplan and its airline partners allows Aeroplan Members to earn and redeem Aeroplan Miles with all participating partners. However, you can receive mileage for a particular flight in only one frequent flyer program. If Aeroplan Miles or other frequent flyer program rewards are already recorded in one program, they cannot be transferred to another.
- Except as otherwise authorized by Aeroplan, a member must enroll individually, only once, using his/her full legal name. Membership is solely for the benefit of the individual, therefore it will be maintained in the name of an individual.
- Aeroplan Miles in an account belong to the account holder, and not to the person or company who paid for the passenger ticket, hotel stay, car rental, or any transaction entered into with another Aeroplan Partner.
- Each member is responsible for keeping up to date on the Aeroplan Program, the amount of Aeroplan Miles in his/her account and his/her accumulation and redemption activities by consulting aeroplan.com. Aeroplan shall not be liable for the member's failure to do so.
- Each member is also responsible for updating their Aeroplan Membership information, including any change to their legal name, email address, telephone number, residential address, province, territory or jurisdiction of residence. Updates to a member's Aeroplan information can be made online by accessing their account or by calling the Aeroplan Contact Centre. Aeroplan may request that a member confirms or updates their personal information or validate their accuracy at any time, and a member is responsible for responding. Aeroplan is not responsible if it cannot contact a member because such member has not given Aeroplan current or accurate information or responded to a validation request. Aeroplan may always rely on the accuracy of the Aeroplan Membership information provided in a member's account until otherwise advised by a member through an account membership information update.
- Aeroplan Flight Rewards and upgrade certificates cannot be redeemed for cash and will be declared void if sold, bartered or transferred. In such cases, the member may be subject to loss of membership or the cancellation of the affected reward, benefit or miles.
- All mileage in an account expires if the Aeroplan Member has not accumulated or redeemed Aeroplan Miles for a period of 12 consecutive months.
- Your account information may only be given to you or a person authorized by you, unless otherwise authorized or required by law.
- Proper legal documentation may be required from all members requesting a name change.
- Aeroplan Membership terminates upon the death or personal bankruptcy of the member.
- Infants (children under the age of 2) traveling on a revenue ticket eligible to be allocated their own seat may accumulate Aeroplan Miles in their individual accounts. Their membership is subject to all Aeroplan Terms and Conditions.
- Aeroplan will be the final authority as to whether any itinerary qualifies under the Terms and Conditions of the Aeroplan Program.
- Except for members residing in the province of Quebec where the Aeroplan Program shall be governed by the laws of Quebec and the jurisdiction of its courts, the Aeroplan Program shall be governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to their courts of Ontario and/or the Federal Court of Canada in Ontario, or any other judicial district or jurisdiction as Aeroplan may determine in any and all actions, disputes, or controversies relating hereto. For these members any disputes regarding the Aeroplan Program or in any way arising out of Aeroplan Membership, including Aeroplan Miles accumulated or rewards claimed or received, shall be submitted to the courts of Ontario whose courts which shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear such disputes.
- No waiver by either Aeroplan or you of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default. If any provisions contained herein shall be determined to be void, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such termination shall not affect the remaining provisions contained herein.
- Aeroplan may unilaterally amend, restrict, suspend, extend or otherwise alter the terms and conditions of the Aeroplan Program listed in section 6 above at any time with notice to Aeroplan Members in accordance to section 7 above. Aeroplan may unilaterally amend for a temporary period an essential element of the Aeroplan Program to the advantage of the Aeroplan Member.
- Effective August 1, 2019, if an amendment affects an essential term of the Aeroplan Program and notwithstanding section 7 above, Aeroplan will send the Québec Member, between the 90th and the 60th day preceding the coming into force of the amendment, a written notice, setting out the new clause or the amended clause, the clause as it read formerly, and the date of the coming into force of the amendment.
The following additional terms are applicable to Aeroplan Members who are Québec consumers to whom the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) and related regulations governing loyalty programs apply:
The present terms and conditions govern your use of the entire aeroplan.com domain referred hereafter as the "Site". Your use of the Site will constitute your agreement to comply with these terms and conditions as well as any additional applicable terms and conditions found on the aeroplan.com domain. In the event that there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and the eStore terms and conditions located at http://www.aeroplan.com/estore/termsandconditions.ep ("eStore Terms & Conditions"), the eStore Terms & Conditions shall prevail over these terms and conditions with respect to your use of the Aeroplan eStore web site located at http://www.aeroplan.com/estore/. Aeroplan® Canada Inc. (hereafter referred to as "Aeroplan") may modify these terms and conditions from time to time at its discretion, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified version on the Site. A Selected Submission may or may not be reproduced, in whole or in part, edited or unedited by Aeroplan. At Aeroplan's discretion, the person submitting the Selected Submission may receive a number of Aeroplan Miles in recognition of their Submission's selection. Representations and Warranties

Recourse

AEROPLAN STATUS
QUALIFICATION AND OTHER GENERAL CLAUSES
As we plan for the launch of a more rewarding Aeroplan in 2020, we're reimagining how we can best recognize our most loyal Aeroplan members. In preparation for this, over the course of next year, we'll be winding down the Aeroplan status program. Here's what this means for you:
Number of miles required to reach the different Aeroplan status levels in 2019 (to receive benefits until December 31, 2020):
- Aeroplan diamond—100,000 eligible miles accumulated during the 2019 calendar year
- Aeroplan black—50,000 eligible miles accumulated during the 2019 calendar year
- Aeroplan silver—25,000 eligible miles accumulated during the 2019 calendar year
Number of miles required to reach the different Aeroplan status levels in 2020 to receive benefits until December 31, 2021):
- Aeroplan diamond—100,000 eligible miles accumulated between January 1, 2020 and February 29, 2020
- Aeroplan black—50,000 eligible miles accumulated between January 1, 2020 and February 29, 2020
- Aeroplan silver—25,000 eligible miles accumulated between January 1, 2020 and February 29, 2020
For the period ending December 31, 2020, Aeroplan status is based on the number of eligible miles earned by a member between January 1 and December 31 of the previous calendar year. For example, 2020 Aeroplan status is based on the number of eligible miles earned by a member in 2019. Members who reach a certain level during the 2019 qualifying year will be eligible to receive the benefits immediately upon achieving a certain level and their new Aeroplan status will be valid until December 31, 2020.
Beginning January 1, 2020, for those Aeroplan members who have not otherwise achieved Aeroplan status by December 31, 2019, Aeroplan status for 2020 and 2021 is based on the number of eligible miles earned by a member only between January 1, 2020 and February 29, 2020. Members who reach a certain level during this qualifying period will be eligible to receive the benefits immediately upon achieving a certain level and their new Aeroplan status will be valid until December 31, 2021. As of March 1, 2020, it will no longer be possible to earn an Aeroplan Status for the year 2021.
Members are required to requalify for Aeroplan status for the following year. For example, those members who enjoyed Aeroplan status in 2019 must earn the required number of eligible miles in 2019 to continue to enjoy Aeroplan status in 2020.
Aeroplan status benefits, including bonus mile offers and privileges, are not retroactive. Members are only eligible for Aeroplan status benefits as of the date Aeroplan status is confirmed. Aeroplan status benefits are subject to change in whole or in parts at any time, at the discretion of Air Canada.
Eligible miles are miles earned in the Aeroplan Program directly at participating partners and include base and certain bonus mile offers. Unless otherwise indicated at the time of offer, the following miles are not eligible for Aeroplan status: financial card sign-up; bonus miles received as a benefit of the Air Canada Altitude program or Aeroplan status; miles accumulated through conversion from other programs or transfers between member accounts, top-up miles, contest prizes, and reinstated miles. Aeroplan reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to change the miles eligible for Aeroplan status from time to time by either adding to or deleting from this list. Eligible miles are considered to be earned on the activity date, meaning the date upon which the member performed the qualifying activity. In the case of financial card partners, the activity date is the statement date.
General clauses
The accumulation of Aeroplan Miles does not entitle members to any vested rights and members may not rely on the continued availability of any award, reward, award/reward level, premium, privilege or other benefit, including those associated with Aeroplan status.
FLIGHT REWARD
Aeroplan diamond: Up to 35% reduction on mileage required to redeem for Market Fare Flight Rewards
Aeroplan black: Up to 25% reduction on mileage required to redeem for Market Fare Flight Rewards
Aeroplan silver: Up to 20% reduction on mileage required to redeem for Market Fare Flight Rewards
The above-mentioned percentages are the maximum reductions offered on Market Fare Flight Rewards for each Aeroplan status level. On any given day, the reduction may be less than the maximum reduction indicated above, or none at all, depending on the flight option selected.
Please note that the Market Fare Flight Reward discounts available to all Aeroplan status members will no longer be offered when we relaunch Aeroplan later in 2020, but Aeroplan status members can continue to enjoy this benefit for now.
BONUS MILE OFFERS
1) Aeroplan status bonus miles on hotel and car cash bookings
Aeroplan status members who make cash bookings via aeroplan.com, earn additional status bonus miles for every dollar spent on eligible car rental and/or hotel stays.
Aeroplan bonus miles on hotel and car cash bookings will only be credited to Aeroplan status members who completed their bookings on the aeroplan.com website until December 31, 2020 and who complete their hotel stays and car rental before December 31,2020. Total balance of the miles will be credited within 2 to 10 weeks after checkout from the hotel or drop-off of the vehicle. Only active qualified Aeroplan status member at the time of booking shall earn Aeroplan status bonus miles.
Members with Aeroplan diamond status will earn up to an additional four (4) Aeroplan bonus miles for every dollar spent on eligible car rental and/or eligible hotel stays booked via the Aeroplan website.
Members with Aeroplan silver and Aeroplan black status will earn up to an additional two (2) bonus miles for every dollar spent on eligible car rental and/or eligible hotel stays booked via the Aeroplan website.
These bonus miles do not qualify towards Aeroplan status.
Car and/or hotel reward bookings made online Aeroplan's website are not eligible for the above mentioned bonus miles offers.
2) Bonuses on hotel stays
Aeroplan status bonus on hotel stays accumulation
Members with Aeroplan Diamond and Aeroplan Black status will receive 250 Aeroplan bonus miles per stay on up to 20 stays with select hotel partners for a maximum of up to 5,000 Aeroplan status bonus miles for stays completed by December 31, 2020. To be eligible for this bonus, you must earn miles in the Aeroplan Program at the time of stay. A stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of the number of check-ins and checkouts. Conversion miles are not eligible. The select hotel partners are Marriott® Hotels & Resorts. The list of select hotel partners is subject to change without notice; other conditions and restrictions may apply.
3) Bonus with Aeroplan eStore
Members with Aeroplan diamond status receive two (2) Aeroplan bonus miles for every base mile earned on eStore transactions.
Members with Aeroplan black and Aeroplan silver status receive one (1) Aeroplan bonus mile for every base mile earned on eStore transactions.
Aeroplan bonus miles will be credited up to eight (8) weeks after the qualifying transaction and is an eligible benefit for estore transaction completed by December 31, 2020.
PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT
Contact Centre priority
Members with Aeroplan diamond status can enjoy priority access to the Aeroplan Contact Centre by entering their Aeroplan number into Aeroplan's automated call answer system at the start of their call. This service is available to members until December 31, 2020.
Preferential rate on flight reward fees
Until the relaunch of Aeroplan later in 2020, members with Aeroplan diamond status will benefit from a preferential rate on flight reward changes and refund fees:

REDEEMING AEROPLAN FIXED MILEAGE FLIGHT (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS CLASSICFLIGHT REWARDS), AND MARKET FARE FLIGHT REWARDS
1. Fixed Mileage Flight Rewards are available on all eligible scheduled flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Rouge, Air Creebec, Bearskin Airlines, Calm Air, Canadian North, First Air and the Star Alliance member airlines, (collectively, "Partner Airlines").
2. Market Fare Flight Rewards are available on all eligible scheduled flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express.
3. Fixed Mileage Flight Rewards may not be combined with Market Fare Flight Rewards and may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion or special offer unless otherwise specified.
4. Flight rewards may be booked for either a roundtrip or a one-way trip flight reward. One-way flight rewards may not be available in all regions/destinations/class of service.
5. Flight reward mileage is determined by the region/destination, highest class of service, and whether the booking is roundtrip or a one-way trip.
5.1. If any allowable stopover point is in a different region than the flight reward destination, the higher reward mileage level will apply.
5.2. In the case of an open jaw, the region/destination with the higher mileage level will apply.
6. Market Fare Flight Reward mileage level quotes, including mileage level quotes for Great Deals and Market Fare Flight Rewards, are valid at the time of redemption and only for the itinerary booked.
7. Flight reward bookings must be made in the full legal name of the person travelling; as it appears on the passenger's passport—proof of identity will be required at the airport. Name changes are not permitted.
8. Flight rewards can be booked up to a minimum of two hours prior to departure. Some exceptions may apply.
8.1. Flight rewards with Air Creebec, Bearskin, Calm Air, Canadian North and First Air must be booked a minimum of 48 hours prior to departure.
9. Flight reward bookings must have confirmed travel dates (open tickets are not permitted).
10. Flight reward itineraries must be travelled in the sequence in which they are booked (ticket coupons must be used in sequence).
TAXES, FEES AND SURCHARGES
11. Flight reward bookings are subject to applicable taxes, fees, charges (including but not limited to departure and security charges), surcharges and levies imposed by or with the authority of any government, governmental authority, airport, airport authority, aviation authority, air carrier or airline (including but not limited to those in respect to any rewards travel or benefit) (collectively, "Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges"). Additional taxes, fees and charges may be collected at the airport.
11.1. For new flight reward bookings, an Aeroplan Member may have the option to: (i) have the applicable Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges associated with their flight reward booking charged to a credit card, or, (ii) if eligible, redeem Aeroplan Miles to cover the applicable Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges associated with their flight reward booking.
11.2. Aeroplan may: (i) determine what portion of applicable Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges associated with a flight reward booking can be redeemed using Aeroplan Miles, and (ii) remove or disable the option to use Aeroplan Miles to cover any applicable Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges associated with flight reward bookings, at its sole discretion, and at any time, without notice.
11.3. An Aeroplan Member will not be eligible to use Aeroplan Miles to cover the applicable Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges associated with their flight reward booking in the following circumstances: (i) if the Aeroplan Member does not have enough Aeroplan Miles to cover the applicable, Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges; (ii) if the Aeroplan Member's account is not in good standing; (iii) if a flight reward booking is not electronic ticket eligible; (iv) if a flight reward booking was made for a flight operated by Calm Air; (v) if the flight reward booking is for an infant ticket; or, (vi) in any other circumstance, at the sole discretion of Aeroplan.
11.4. Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges do not include Aeroplan program related fees imposed by Aeroplan, including but not limited to, the Aeroplan Contact Centre service fee. Aeroplan Miles cannot be redeemed to cover any such Aeroplan program related fees and their related taxes.
11.5. Mileage levels required for the redemption of Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges in respect of flight reward bookings are subject to change without any notice and may vary based on your Aeroplan status, mileage balance, travel itinerary choice, or other criteria as determined by Aeroplan. Mileage level quotes in respect of applicable Taxes, Fees, Charges and Surcharges associated with flight reward bookings are only valid at time of booking.
12. The member must have the required amount of Aeroplan Miles at the time of flight reward booking to cover the Flight reward ticket itself.
Delivery Method
13. Whenever applicable, electronic tickets will be issued. For itineraries that are not electronic ticket-eligible, reservations should be confirmed at least 14 days prior to departure to allow for "free" delivery of "paper" tickets via mail.
14. Reward tickets can be delivered to you in one of many ways. Applicable taxes and any mileage purchased must be paid by in accordance with the Aeroplan Flight Reward Terms and Conditions at time of booking.
14.1 Electronic Ticket
When you phone the Aeroplan Contact Centre to request reward travel on eligible Air Canada, Air Canada Express and most of our Star Alliance partner flights, an electronic ticket will be stored in Air Canada's computer system. Electronic Tickets have replaced paper tickets for these flights and are the new standard for reward travel. You'll simply receive an electronic ticket receipt as confirmation, and need only present your receipt along with a photo I.D. to receive your boarding pass.
14.2 We'll send your reward tickets free-of-charge to the address on your file. Please note that this option can take up to two weeks to get to your door. Aeroplan is not responsible for any tickets lost or delayed in the mail, and will not replace them.
14.3 AeroExpress Courier Service
With the AeroExpress Courier Service, for $35 (CA), plus applicable taxes, your reward ticket should arrive in four to six business days, although remote areas might require additional time. Please note that this service is only payable by credit card and is non-refundable. Also, we're not able to send the ticket to a P.O. Box.
14.4 AeroRush Service
With AeroRush, available for rewards that require a paper ticket, we prioritize the processing of your reward (CA$50, plus applicable taxes). Tickets can be picked up at any Air Canada or Air Canada Express airport ticket counter.
15. Flight rewards may be redeemed through the Aeroplan Contact Centre for a service fee of C$30.00 plus taxes per ticket. This fee is non-refundable.
16. Flight rewards may also be redeemed online at aeroplan.com. Some exceptions apply.
16.1. In the instance where a flight reward booking cannot be made online, the booking will be subject to the Aeroplan Contact Centre service fee of C$30.00 plus taxes per ticket. This fee is non-refundable.
16.2. In the instance where a flight reward booking cannot be completed online, the member will be instructed to contact the Aeroplan Contact Centre with the booking reference within 24 hours to complete the booking. Failure to contact the Aeroplan Contact Centre within 24 hours to complete the booking will result in cancellation without notice.
17. Only the Aeroplan Member or a designated person (appointed by the member) can book a travel reward.
18. Flight reward tickets will be issued at the time of booking and an electronic itinerary receipt will be sent via email as confirmation.
19. Flight reward tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue, unless otherwise specified.
19.1. Miles for any unused portion(s) of an expired flight reward ticket will be forfeit and are no longer valid for travel and/or mileage reinstatement.
20. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to obtain, and have in possession upon departure, all required travel documents as required by law. Passengers who do not have the required documentation to travel will be denied boarding by Air Canada and/or other airline partners without compensation.
21. Fixed Mileage Flight Rewards are capacity controlled, which means that there are a limited number of seats available on a given route. Capacity controls do not apply for Market Fare Flight Rewards.
22. There are no blackout periods on Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge. Flight rewards on all other airlines may be subject to blackout periods.
23. The credit card used for payment must be in the name of the Aeroplan Member or one of the passengers travelling on the booking.
24. All flight reward bookings, including routing validations, are subject to approval by Aeroplan and/or the Partner Airlines on the itinerary and may change with or without prior notice.
25. Aeroplan flight rewards cannot be redeemed for cash and will be declared void if sold, bartered or transferred; and as a result, may be subject to prosecution and/or loss of program privileges.
Fixed Mileage Flight Reward Travel Involving a Stopover/Open Jaw
26. Stopovers are not permitted on one-way flight rewards.
27. Stopovers and/or open jaws are not permitted on flight rewards with Calm Air.
28. On round trip rewards, 1 stopover or 1 open Jaw is permitted in addition to the point of turnaround.
28.1 Intracontinental Travel*: For travel within the same continent, stopovers are not permitted. One open jaw is permitted.
*Exception: For the following Intracontinental travel, 1 stopover, or 1 open jaw is permitted:
Within Canada and Continental USA
Between Canada/Continental USA and Hawaii/Puerto Rico/Mexico/Central America/Caribbean
Flight Reward Travel Involving an Infant (under two years of age for the entire trip) or Child
29. Infants not occupying a seat:
29.1 Within Canada or within the Continental USA (including Hawaii) do not require a ticket. Infant name must be included on the reservation. Only one infant per adult travelling.
29.2 Between Canada and the Continental USA (including Hawaii) require a ticket. No flight reward required; taxes apply. Only one infant per adult travelling.
29.3 On all other itineraries require an Infant Flight reward; taxes apply. Only one infant per adult travelling.
30. Infants occupying a seat require a flight reward.
31. Flight rewards are required for children two years of age or over.
32. Children between the ages of 2 and 11 must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or older when travelling. However, children aged 8 to 11 can be booked to travel as Unaccompanied Minors on Air Canada direct flights only. Some exceptions may apply and additional travel restrictions may apply.
Air Passenger Protection Regulation
33. Air Passenger Protection Regulations Notice (for flights to, from and within Canada, including connecting flights): If you are denied boarding, your flight is cancelled or delayed for at least two hours, or your baggage is lost or damaged, you may be entitled to certain standards of treatment and compensation under the Air Passenger Protection Regulations. For more information about your passenger rights please contact your air carrier or visit the Canadian Transportation Agency's website.
Pursuant to these regulations, general terms and conditions pertaining to flight delays, cancellations, denied boarding, seating of children and lost or damaged baggage must be provided by your carrier. For Air Canada, this information can be found in Air Canada's General Conditions of Carriage and Tariffs.
REFUNDING FIXED MILEAGE FLIGHT AND MARKET FARE FLIGHT REWARDS
34. Unused and valid flight rewards may be refunded, along with any applicable Taxes, Fees and Surcharges associated with such flight rewards, in the original form of payment made by the Aeroplan Member at the time such flight reward bookings were made, up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure. A C$150.00 fee plus taxes per ticket will apply if the flight is cancelled via the Contact Centre, or $125 if canceled online. This fee is non-refundable.
Members can also cancel their Flight Reward booking at no charge within 24 hours of making the booking.
CHANGING/CANCELLING FIXED MILEAGE FLIGHT AND MARKET FARE FLIGHT REWARDS RESERVATIONS
35. Changes to unused flight rewards (i.e. flight date(s), flight time(s), class of service, routing and/or itinerary) may be made up to a minimum of two hours prior to departure. A fee of C$100.00 plus taxes per direction, per ticket will apply. This fee is non-refundable.
For changes to Around the World flight rewards booked before September 1st, 2019 , a flat fee of C$200.00 plus taxes per ticket will apply. This fee is non-refundable.
36. Changes to the flight reward itinerary (e.g. region, destination, class of service, flight date, flight time, seasonality, advance purchase or minimum/maximum stay) may result in additional mileage being required from the original flight reward. Additional miles are collected at the time of change.37. Flight reward changes to the destination/region or class of service may result in a lower mileage level than the original flight reward; the mileage difference is forfeited and cannot be used to cover any applicable Taxes, Fees and Surcharges associated to the flight reward booking resulting from the change.
38. Flight reward changes may also result in changes to Taxes, Fees and Surcharges associated with a flight reward booking, which an Aeroplan Member shall be responsible for. Additional taxes and fees may be collected at the airport.
38.1 An Aeroplan Member may use Aeroplan Miles to cover Taxes, Fees and Surcharges resulting from any changes to the associated flight reward, provided: (i) the change is being made in respect of a flight reward that was originally booked on or after March 28th, 2016; and (ii) an Aeroplan Member is eligible to use Aeroplan Miles to cover the Taxes, Fees, and Surcharges resulting from such change as per the eligibility conditions set forth in the Aeroplan Flight Reward Terms and Conditions.
39. For bookings completed prior to July 15th, 2019, unused flight reward tickets can be cancelled up to a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure and will remain valid for one year from the date of issue. If any refund is to be performed at the time the flight reward is re-booked (within one year from the date of issue), the refund shall be made in accordance with the original form of payment made at the time of original booking. At time of re-booking, a C$100.00 fee plus taxes per ticket will apply. This fee is non-refundable."
40. Within two hours of scheduled departure, changes/cancellations of a flight reward are not permitted. The flight reward mileage is forfeit and the ticket is no longer valid for travel.
41. Name changes are not permitted on flight rewards.
42. Market Fare Flight rewards may not be changed to Fixed Mileage Flight Rewards.
43. All Aeroplan fees, including service, change and cancellation fees, are subject to change.
Hotel Booking Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to hotel reservations made as of September 5, 2018.
For hotel reservations made before September 5, 2018, please see Aeroplan Hotel Rewards Terms and Conditions at the bottom.
Hotel Terms and Conditions:
Aeroplan Travel Services Inc. (“Aeroplan Travel Services”) is an affiliate of Aeroplan Inc. (“Aeroplan”) who owns and operates the Aeroplan Program. Aeroplan Travel Services is a licensed Quebec travel agency providing travel booking services exclusively to Aeroplan Members residing in Canada.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the term “you” refers to each person who purchases, redeems, receives or stays at the hotel.
Any hotel accommodation offered on the Aeroplan web site and/or the Aeroplan mobile app,(collectively “Booking Service”) constitutes an agreement between you and Aeroplan Travel Services. The following terms and conditions form part of such agreement.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:
- Responsibility: Aeroplan Travel Services’ sole responsibility is to assist Aeroplan Members in gathering and providing information about the hotel, verifying the availability and in facilitating your hotel reservation. The hotel information that is offered and/or displayed comes from our third-party hotel suppliers (see section below).
- Notification of changes: Aeroplan Travel Services reserves the right at any time to change these hotel terms and conditions as well as change, suspend or cancel any hotel availability displayed through the Booking Service, without notice or liability. Your continued use of the Booking Service for your hotel reservation signifies your acceptance of such revisions. Hotel Property and Hotel Supplier Terms and Conditions: Any hotel accommodation offered and displayed by Aeroplan Travel Services (in its capacity as travel agency) are subject to separate Hotel Property terms and conditions offered though a third-party Hotel Supplier.

3.1 Hotel Property: In order to complete a booking, you must accept the Hotel Property Terms and Conditions (“Hotel Policies”). Hotel properties have different conditions. This includes, without limitation, the standard hotel minimum age requirements to book a stay. You are responsible to review and accept the Hotel Policies prior to booking. - 3.2 Hotel Supplier: The Hotel Properties are offered through our third-party hotel supplier (“Hotel Supplier”). Consequently, your access and/or use of the booking service with respect to the hotel reservation constitutes your agreement to comply with the Hotel Supplier’s terms and conditions. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable Suppliers’ terms and conditions.

- Privacy Policy: As a member of the Aeroplan program, when you book your hotel stay, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy at aeroplan.com/privacypolicy which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information that pertains to your privacy. You further agree that Aeroplan Travel Services may transfer your personal data or the personal data of any person on whose behalf you make a hotel booking for to the Supplier and their respective affiliates in accordance with applicable privacy laws and for the purposes of facilitating the booking and providing after sales support (if any) for the hotel booking.
- Subject to Availability: Hotel bookings are subject to availability at the time of reservation. Availability may change and/or be withdrawn without notice. The option of redeeming miles or paying cash for a hotel booking may not be available to all destinations.
- Changes: No changes are permitted. Once you book your hotel stay, bookings cannot be changed. The hotel booking must first be cancelled and then a new booking must be made through the Booking Service. Please note that there is always a risk that you may lose the hotel booking that you had booked between the time of cancellation and rebooking.

Cancellation Fees and/or Penalties: Cancellation fees and/or penalties for your hotel reservation are determined by the hotel property. There are different types of hotel cancellation policies and fees: refundable and non-refundable for the hotel stay.

7.1 Refundable (according to the hotel property’s cancellation period): If you cancel your hotel reservation within the cancellation period, no fee will be charged. The amount paid and/or Aeroplan Miles redeemed will be refunded to the credit card or the Aeroplan account (as the case may be), once the hotel cancellation is processed.
If you cancel outside the cancellation window, or any time later or in the event of a no-show, you will be subject to a penalty and/or cancellation fee determined by the hotel property. In this situation, you must contact Aeroplan Travel Services to process the partial refund to the credit card or a partial refund of redeemed Aeroplan Miles (as the case may be). -
7.2 Non‑Refundable: If you cancel your reservation, you are responsible to pay 100% the amount paid and/or Aeroplan Miles redeemed (as the case may be) for the reservation.
Aeroplan Travel Services will not refund the amount paid for the hotel reservation and/or Aeroplan Miles redeemed (as the case may be) where you fail to comply with the Hotel Supplier cancellation policy and conditions. Cancellation policies and fees usually vary between hotels and room types. Please read the applicable Hotel Policies, especially room type, check-in and check-out times, additional hotels fees, child policy, hotel facilities, cancellation policy and hotel location before completing your hotel reservation.

- Limited Time Offers: From time to time, there may be discounted offers on the regular hotel accommodations prices or Aeroplan miles required on select hotels. Limited time offers are subject to availability at time of booking and may change without notice at any time.
- Special Requests: Aeroplan Travel Services does not guaranty special requests. Please contact your hotel property directly to confirm pricing and availability of special requests.
- Subject to Change: Prices, promotions, miles and availability displayed through our Booking Service are subject to change at any time without notice until the hotel reservation is completed.
- Confirmation and Delivery: Following the hotel reservation, you will receive an e‑mail confirming the hotel reservation. It is your responsibility to check that the information contained in that e-mail correctly reflects the hotel reservation.
- Incidentals, Additional Fees and Taxes: A valid credit card will be required at time of check-in at the hotel. Any incidentals such as, parking, phone calls, mini-bar, room service, dry cleaning, spa services and other amenities, including any resort fees and/or city taxes applicable to some properties will be charged directly to the credit card when you check‑out.

Hotel Reservation Using Aeroplan Miles: Aeroplan Miles can be redeemed for a hotel reservation (“Hotel Redemption Booking”).

13.1 You must have the required amount of Aeroplan Miles at the time of reservation to cover the Hotel Redemption Booking. - 13.2 From time to time Aeroplan may offer, through its third-party suppliers, a discount on the hotel rewards.
- 13.3 Hotel reward bookings cover the room charges and room taxes. Any additional taxes are the responsibility of the hotel guest and must be paid in local currency with cash or a valid credit card at check‑out.

Hotel Paid Booking: You can book a hotel by paying for it with a valid credit card (“Paid Booking”).

14.1 Price Quotes: Unless otherwise indicated, all prices are in Canadian dollars and all charges will be processed in Canadian dollars. Aeroplan Travel Services is not responsible for any fluctuation in price or changes to the hotel reservation. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the prices are valid as displayed provided you reserve the hotel accommodation during the same session. If you disconnect from a session, prices are subject to change without prior notice. - 14.2 Payment by Credit Card: By providing Aeroplan Travel Services with authorization to use your credit card to pay for the hotel reservation (Booking Service), you are confirming that you will pay the total amount charged according to your cardholder agreement. In addition, you agree not to chargeback your payment for the Travel Product you receive. All fraudulent purchases will be investigated and prosecuted. Accepted credit cards: Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
- 14.3 Travel Compensation Fund Fee: You authorize Aeroplan Travel Services to charge FICAV (Fonds d'indemnisation des clients des agents de voyages) a fee of 0.1% of the amount paid for the hotel reservation (excluding insurance, service fees, GST and QST), as amended by law from time to time, to the same credit card as you used to purchase the hotel accommodation. Funds collected are deposited in a trust account. Please note that the compensation fund fee shall also be taxable.
- 14.4 Facilitation Fee: You acknowledge that Aeroplan Travel Services pre-negotiates certain rates with Suppliers on your behalf and as your agent to facilitate the booking of reservations. Aeroplan Travel Service does not collect any taxes for remittance to applicable taxing authorities with respect to such booking and, as a result, if you are a business traveler, please note that this invoice may not constitute a proper tax invoice for your purposes. You also acknowledge that Aeroplan Travel Service provides you services to facilitate such bookings for a fee (the “Facilitation Fee”). If you are a business traveler and require a tax invoice regarding such Facilitation Fee only, please contact Aeroplan Travel Services.

- Violations or Fraud: Aeroplan Travel Services reserves the right not to refund the payment or Aeroplan Miles, as the case may be, if you have not complied with any of the hotel’s terms and conditions. Any violation or abuse of these terms and conditions, at the discretion of Aeroplan Travel Services, may result in the cancellation of hotel reservation and loss of membership.

Earning Aeroplan Miles: You can earn Aeroplan Miles whenever you book a hotel reservation offered through the Booking Service.

16.1 The amount of miles available to be earned will depend on the payment method (miles redemption or credit card) for the hotel reservation. - 16.2 The miles will be deposited into the applicable Aeroplan Member’s account used to make the booking (regardless whose credit card is used to pay for the hotel booking or who stays at the applicable hotel).
- 16.3 The miles are credited within 2 to 4 weeks after the hotel stay.
- 16.4 Any miles earned for the hotel reservation will continue to be subject to the Aeroplan Program Terms and Conditions.
- 16.5 The amount of miles displayed at time of booking include base miles for the hotel booking, promotional miles and bonus miles and they may be credited to your account in separate transactions.
- 16.6 No miles will be earned in the event that: (i) the hotel reservation is cancelled; (ii) you do not check-in on the scheduled date and time of the reservation (no-show); or (iii) you receive a partial refund for your refundable hotel reservation.

- Errors: Aeroplan Travel Services cannot guarantee that the content provided through our Booking Service will not contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions, including those related to any travel product ratings or photos, distances, Aeroplan Miles to be earned, product description, service description or availability. Aeroplan Travel Services reserves the right to correct any error, inaccuracy or omission or to change or update the content without prior notice to you. Occasionally, Suppliers may have incorrect prices. If the price is incorrect, the Supplier has the right to cancel that booking and Aeroplan Travel Services has no control over these pricing errors. Aeroplan Travel Services reserves the right to refuse or cancel any travel products containing any error, inaccuracy or omission, whether or not the reservation has been confirmed and/or your credit card has been charged.

Insurance: It is strongly recommended that the customer purchase travel insurance. There are different types of insurance packages available. Travel insurance may only be purchased by the Aeroplan member at the time of purchasing the Travel Services to which the insurance relates (excluding out of province medical only insurance which may be purchased anytime up until departure). Travel insurance, including trip cancellation & interruption insurance and out of province health insurance, can insure you against the risks described in the applicable policy that may occur prior to, during or after your travel. If more information regarding travel insurance is required, please call Manulife directly at 1-844-891-1554 or contact another travel insurance provider.
Note: Without limiting the generality of Section 19, Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates disclaim all liability for any losses or claims resulting from your failure to purchase travel insurance. -
Limitation of Liability: Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates do not own, manage, operate or control any hotel. As such, without limitation,

19.1 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates assume no liability whatsoever by reason of termination of or amendment to, the travel agency license or the Aeroplan Program in whole or in part, the addition or deletion of any Hotel Supplier or property, limitation on the availability of hotels available. - 19.2 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates assume no liability and do not guarantee any Hotel Supplier’s rates, prices, bookings, ratings, any additional charges, taxes, fees or surcharges. Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates are not liable for any delay or failure to deliver the hotel accommodation by the Hotel Supplier, for their cancellation policies, damages or any defects.
- 19.3 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates are not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, breaches or negligence of any Hotel Supplier or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or any other damages or expenses resulting therefrom.
- 19.4 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates, have no liability and will not refund in the event of or in connection to any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeur, or other causes beyond their direct control.
- 19.5 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates are not liable for any direct or indirect incidental or consequential loss, claim injury and/or damage arising out of, or in any way connected with, the use of the website and/or Booking Service, or for any information, inaccuracies, products, and services obtained that are provided by third‑parties, including your access to or inability to access the booking service to book a hotel reservation.
- 19.6 Aeroplan Travel Services transmits the proceeds from the hotel reservation and acts as the travel service provider's agent. Aeroplan Travel Services is not liable if the Supplier defaults the travel service for which Customer has made payment, the customer's sole recourse for refund is with the defaulting travel service provider, or from insurance covering such defaults.
- 19.7 You agree that Aeroplan Travel Services and any affiliates, subsidiaries or representatives are not responsible for and you release us from any and all liability arising as a result of, any accident, loss, injury or damages, distress or frustration caused by the Provider or requested in connection with Aeroplan travel Service.

RESERVING HOTEL REWARDS:
Aeroplan Members may use Aeroplan Miles to reserve hotel stays by visiting aeroplan.com. Reservations are subject to availability. Room availability is subject to limits set by the individual hotels. Blackout dates may apply. Reward covers room rate charge based on single or double occupancy only, including applicable taxes. Reward is based on standard category guest rooms. Guest is responsible for all additional incidental charges of a personal nature, such as gratuities, meals, telephone, in-room movies, dry cleaning and well as any mandatory per room night charges imposed by a participating property, such as a daily resort charge. Guest is responsible for all charges should hotel be able to arrange for rollaway bedding or upgraded room types based at time of check in. Car Rental Terms and Conditions:
Aeroplan Travel Services Inc. (“Aeroplan Travel Services”) is an affiliate of Aeroplan Inc. (“Aeroplan”) who owns and operates the Aeroplan Program. Aeroplan Travel Services is a licensed Quebec travel agency providing travel booking services exclusively to Aeroplan Members residing in Canada.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the term “you” refers to each person who purchases, redeems, receives or uses the car rental.
Any car rental offered on the Aeroplan web site and/or the Aeroplan mobile app,(collectively “Booking Service”) constitutes an agreement between you and Aeroplan Travel Services. The following terms and conditions form part of such agreement.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:
- Responsibility: Aeroplan Travel Services’ sole responsibility is to assist Aeroplan Members in gathering information about the car rental, verifying the availability and in facilitating your booking.
- Notification: Aeroplan Travel Services reserves the right at any time to change these car rental terms and conditions as well as change, suspend or cancel any car rental availability displayed through the Booking Service, without notice or liability. Your continued use of the Booking Service for any car rental signifies your acceptance of such revisions. It is your responsibility to review the terms and conditions carefully each time you use our Booking Service for your car rental.
- Car Rental Company Terms and Conditions: The car rental arranged for by Aeroplan Travel Services (in its capacity as travel agency) are subject to the conditions applicable thereto as imposed by the car rental company, partner, provider and/or supplier (each a “Provider”). Additional car rental company terms and conditions may apply to your car rental reservation. You and any driver of the car rental bookings are responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable Provider’s terms and conditions. This includes, without limitation, the standard car rental company age, driver license and credit card requirements as well as any restrictions regarding the redemption of Miles for car rentals. If you do not agree with the Provider’s terms and conditions, please do not book your car rental.

Cancellation and Refunds: Car rental bookings can be cancelled at any time before the scheduled pick‑up date and time online at www.aeroplan.com or on the mobile app. All amount paid will be refunded to the credit card by the Provider and/or all Aeroplan Miles redeemed, will be refunded to the Aeroplan account (as the case may be once the car rental booking cancellation is processed.

7.1 Exceptions: Aeroplan Travel Services will not refund the amount paid for the car rental and/or Aeroplan Miles redeemed (as the case may be) where there is a failure to: (i) cancel the car rental reservation prior to scheduled pick‑up date and time; (ii) pick‑up the car at the arranged location date and time (no‑show); (iii) provide the required travel or other documentation or credit card at the scheduled pick‑up date and time; (iv) adhere to any other criteria identified to you at time of reservation by Aeroplan Travel Services and/or the car rental Provider’s terms and conditions; or (v) early car rental returns or drop‑offs. - 7.2 From time to time, a one‑way service fees may be applied by the Provider for a car rental where a pick‑up and drop‑off are at different locations. For details on whether or not the car rental company charges extra one way fees, please contact the car rental company directly at 1‑866‑333‑2847.

- Special Requests: Aeroplan Travel Services does not offer special requests such as child seats, ski racks or GPS. Please contact the applicable car rental company directly regarding any special requests.
- Subject to Change: Prices, promotions, miles and availability displayed through our Booking Service are subject to change at any time without notice until the car rental booking is finalized and full payment has been received and processed.
- Confirmation and Delivery: Following the car rental reservation, you will receive an e‑mail confirming the car rental booking. It is your responsibility to check that the information contained in that e‑mail correctly reflects the car rental reservation.
- Documents: A valid driver’s license and a valid credit card are required for any car rental. It is your or any driver’s responsibility to obtain, and to have in your possession all documents required by the car rental company or governments in every jurisdiction. If you do not meet the minimum age requirement in a jurisdiction or you do not have the required documents, the car rental will be denied or refused without any compensation.

Car Rental Using Aeroplan Miles: Aeroplan Miles can be redeemed to book a car rental reward booking (“Car Redemption Booking”).

Car Rental Paid Booking: You can book a car rental by paying for it with a valid credit card (“Paid Booking”).

Where payment for the car rental is required to be made locally, the exchange rate used to convert the amount of your transaction into Canadian dollars is based on the exchange rate for the day of payment. Additional local fees and taxes may be applicable to be paid and are not covered in the price of the car rental. Aeroplan Travel Services is not responsible for any fluctuation in price or change in the type or model of vehicle in connection with the car rental that occurs before, during or after the purchase of the car rental. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the prices are valid if you book/purchase the car rental during the same session. Earning Aeroplan Miles and Loyalty Surcharge: You can earn Aeroplan Miles when you book an eligible car rental offered through the Booking Service. For bookings paid in cash you will be charged a car rental loyalty surcharge of 0.75$ per rental day, not to exceed a total of 5.25$ by the Provider at pick-up. The loyalty surcharge will need to be paid in order to earn miles for the car rental booking.

16.1 To earn Aeroplan Miles on car cash bookings, you must present your Aeroplan card at pick‑up. - 16.2 The amount of miles available to be earned will depend on the payment method (miles redemption or credit card) for the car rental.
- 16.3 The miles will be deposited into the applicable Aeroplan Member’s account used to make the booking within 2 to 10 weeks after the car rental is used and the car is returned.
- 16.4 Any miles earned for the car rental will continue to be are subject to the Aeroplan Program Terms and Conditions.
- 16.5 The miles displayed at time of booking include base miles for the car rental, promotional miles and bonus miles and they may be credited to your account in separate transactions.
- 16.6 No miles will be earned in the event that: (i) you cancel the car rental reservation; or (ii) you do not pick‑up the car at the arranged location date and time (no‑show).
- 16.7 The mileage earn will be adjusted based on the actual duration of car rental. In the event the actual duration is shorter than the booked duration, you may no longer be eligible to earn bonus miles (i.e. this will depend on the promo in place and the change).

- 19.4 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates, have no liability and will not refund in the event of or in connection to any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeur, or other causes beyond their direct control.
- 19.5 Aeroplan Travel Services and its affiliates are not liable for any direct or indirect incidental or consequential loss, claim injury and/or damage arising out of, or in any way connected with, the use of the website and/or Booking Service, or for any information, inaccuracies, products, and services obtained that are provided by third‑parties, including your access to or inability to access the booking service for the car rental reservation.
- 19.6 Aeroplan Travel Services transmits the proceeds from the sale of the car rental Provider and acts as the travel service provider's agent. Aeroplan Travel Services is not liable if the Provider defaults the travel service for which the Member has made payment, the customer's sole recourse for refund is with the defaulting travel service provider, or from insurance covering such defaults.
- 19.7 You agree that Aeroplan Travel Services and any affiliates, subsidiaries or representatives are not responsible for and you release us from any and all liability arising as a result of, any accident, loss, injury or damages, distress or frustration caused by the Provider or requested in connection with Aeroplan Travel Services.

Aeroplan Cruise Certificates
The following additional Terms and Conditions apply only to Expedia® CruiseShipCenters® rewards, redeemed before the removal on September 13th, 2018.
Aeroplan Members must present the PIN number (provided by Aeroplan upon checking out of the redemption process) to their Expedia® CruiseShipCenters® cruise consultant 30 days prior to the supplier's final payment.
Expedia® CruiseShipCenters® Certificate(s) may be used any time after initial deposit, up to a value of the entire cruise purchase (including deposit), up to 30 days prior to the supplier's final payment. In the event the entire cruise is purchased through a certificate(s), the deposit will be refunded prior to cruise departure.
Reservation Changes

Terms & Conditions
The following are terms and conditions applicable to the redemption of any activities, merchandise or gift cards rewards ("Rewards").
1. Delivery
- Please allow for up to three (3) to five (5) weeks for the delivery of merchandise rewards and two (2) to four (4) weeks for gift card rewards.
- Merchandise rewards can only be shipped in Canada to a civic address (not to a P.O. Box).
- Unless otherwise specified on the gift card description, gift cards rewards may be shipped to Canada and U.S. to either a P.O. Box or civic address.
- If your shopping cart has a mix of merchandise and gift card rewards you will not be able to ship to the U.S. or to a P.O. Box address in Canada.
- All shipping and delivery is provided by Aeroplan’s service providers.
- Oversized items being shipped to remote areas may be subject to additional shipping costs. You will be contacted by an Aeroplan Reward Center agent should such additional charges apply.
- Transactions with multiple items may be delivered separately.
- You will be required to provide a valid email address and daytime telephone number in order to complete your redemption.
- You will receive a confirmation number once you complete your transaction on aeroplan.com. Please retain a print out of your confirmation number for your records.
- Once your Reward has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail from Aeroplan.
- Log-in to aeroplan.com/myrewards, click on Order History and you will be able to track the delivery of your Reward using the specified waybill number on the website of the specified courier company.
- Once you receive your Reward, please keep the packing slip as proof of purchase for your records and warranty claims. Aeroplan does not service warranty issues; all claims must be addressed directly with product manufacturer.
- You may have your Reward delivered to someone else according to the delivery terms set out in this section. However, your e-mail address and day-time telephone number are required.
- Rewards can only be redeemed through aeroplan.com.
- Rewards that have not been received must be reported to the Aeroplan Rewards Center at 1-800-361-5373 within six (6) months of their original order date, otherwise, the member may risk forfeiting the Reward and Aeroplan miles used to redeem for the Reward.
- Aeroplan Rewards that have not been received must be reported to Aeroplan within six months of their original order date. Otherwise, the member may risk forfeiting the reward.
2. Return Policy
- No cancellations, exchanges, refunds or returns will be accepted for Rewards once redeemed.
- In the event that the merchandise reward arrives damaged, please contact the Aeroplan Rewards Center at 1-800-361-5373 immediately. Items that are damaged will be replaced without charge if reported within two (2) business days of receipt (one (1) business day in the case of a food item). You will receive a Return Authorization Number. Each returned item must be in the original manufacturer's packaging and accompanied by a copy of the original pick ticket. Item defects that have been identified after initial use will not be accepted for return and should be handled according to the applicable manufacturer's warranty.
- Once the Return Authorization Number has been issued, you have fifteen (15) business days to return the item in question. Returns will not be accepted after the fifteen (15) business day term regardless of previous return authorizations.

- All Rewards as seen on aeroplan.com are subject to change and may be removed, replaced and/or reinstated (or re-enabled) on aeroplan.com without any notice.
- Model numbers for merchandise rewards are subject to change without notice, based on availability, back orders and/or substitutes.
- Miles associated to the redemption of a Reward are subject to change without any notice. This may apply to vendor price updates and/or dated promotions. For greater clarity, Miles redeemed for any Rewards on aeroplan.com on the order date must be respected; any mileage update or change made after the order date will not be compensated. This applies to any promotions that Aeroplan lists on aeroplan.com, back orders, substitutes, or lost orders due to technical issues on the aeroplan.com website.
- Manufacturer's warranties apply. Aeroplan does not make any representations or warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of conditions of merchantable quality and fitness for a particular purpose.
- Aeroplan Rewards are subject to other Aeroplan program terms and conditions available at aeroplan.com.
- Rewards are VOID if altered and may not be redeemed for cash.
- Rewards are subject to vendor’s policies and availability.
- Taxes are included in the cost of all Rewards. Any additional costs for products and services outside of those specified for the Rewards must be paid for by the Aeroplan member.
- By accepting these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and agree that Aeroplan, its affiliates, vendors, service providers, and their respective servants, agents and employees (collectively referred to as "the Company") are not liable for any injuries, death or damages suffered by or incurred upon you and/or any other person, including (as applicable) and whether due or not to the negligence of the Company. Also, you release and discharge the Company from all manner of actions, causes of action, suits, demands, damages and all other claims whatsoever which may arise in any way from such Rewards.
5. Privacy
For the purpose of completing your orders, it is required that Aeroplan exchanges certain personal information, such as delivery address, e-mail address, and telephone number, with third party providers such as delivery companies. The use of your personal information is protected by and subject to the privacy policy of Aeroplan, which can be found at aeroplan.com.
Offset Purchase Tax status
Emissions Offsets purchased through Aeroplan are not tax-deductible and do not qualify as a charitable donation.
Offset Ownership
Emissions Offsets purchased through Aeroplan do not entitle the member to ownership of emissions credits, and are not eligible for transfer or resale. All offsets purchased are retired by Aeroplan on behalf of its members.
Offset Purchase Refund Policy
All purchases of emissions offsets through Aeroplan are final and are non-refundable.
Emissions Calculations
Aeroplan bases its emissions calculations on data such as emissions factors, recommended by reputable sources. These emissions factors can and do change over time. If Aeroplan does initiate a change to these emissions factors, Aeroplan will not assume a responsibility to alter its emissions reductions liability for calculations and transactions completed prior to the change.
- Certificates are not redeemable for cash.
- Certificates may only be redeemed following the procedures defined by Aeroplan. The procedures are listed on www.aeroplan.com.
- This certificate is valid for a limited time and will expire on the date printed on it.
- Certificates may not be purchased, sold or bartered.
- Certificates are void if reproduced, altered, counterfeited, obtained, or used improperly. Fraud or abuse is subject to administrative and/or legal action by Aeroplan including, without limitation the forfeiture or confiscation of all miles, certificates, award certificates, and any accrued miles in a member's account; as well as cancellation of the account and member's future participation in the Aeroplan program.
- Lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed certificates will not be replaced by Aeroplan.
- Determination of income tax liability, on miles, certificates, and Aeroplan awards is the responsibility of the holder.
- The miles are non-refundable upon deposit.

The holder of a certificate has only the limited right to redeem same with Aeroplan in accordance with the rules and conditions for crediting of miles at Aeroplan as stated herein and subject to all Aeroplan program rules and condition.
- In order to transfer your Aeroplan Miles to another Aeroplan member's account you must log on to aeroplan.com using your Aeroplan number and permanent personal identification number (Password/PIN). Aeroplan members who wish to transfer their Aeroplan Miles to the other members' accounts must provide the recipients' Aeroplan number, last name, first initial, as well as the number of Aeroplan Miles to be transferred.
- Aeroplan Miles are transferred to the recipient members' account instantly. You can go to the "Your Account" section to view your balance after you complete the transaction.
- Each Aeroplan member is limited to 5 transactions (donations or receptions) per account per calendar year. Any transaction exceeding this limit will not be posted to the member's account.
- You can transfer your Aeroplan Miles to three recipient members at one time; the maximum number of Aeroplan Miles that can be transferred to any one recipient during any one transaction is 999,999 Aeroplan Miles; the minimum amount is 1,000 Aeroplan Miles.
- All transfer fees are in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes (GST, PST and HST).
- All transfer fees applied to the Transfer Mileage program promotion are non-refundable; transferred Aeroplan Miles cannot be re-instated once the transaction is complete.
- Aeroplan Miles transferred with the Transfer Mileage program do not count toward top-tier status qualification for Air Canada Super Elite, Air Canada Elite, or Air Canada Prestige status.
- Aeroplan Miles transferred with the Transfer Mileage program do not count toward Aeroplan Status.
- Any improper usage or misuse of Aeroplan Miles shall be grounds for immediate confiscation and forfeiture of such Aeroplan Miles, and may be grounds for the forfeiture of all Aeroplan Miles in the member's account and the member's expulsion from the Aeroplan Program.

1) Unless otherwise specified on the Aeroplan eStore, one Aeroplan Mile will be awarded for each Canadian dollar spent for all qualifying transactions from participating third party merchants, excluding taxes, shipping fees, custom duties or any other type of surcharge.
2) Aeroplan Miles are only awarded for purchases initiated through www.aeroplan.com/estore. No miles will be awarded for transactions that you initiate directly with any merchant. Also, no miles will be awarded based on merchant restrictions and the award of miles cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or coupons. For example, no miles will be awarded if a promotion code is used with a participating third party merchant.
3) To receive Aeroplan Miles, you must be logged into www.aeroplan.com/estore with your valid Aeroplan number, use only valid links to enter a participating third party merchant’s website, and complete the transaction within the same session.
4) No Aeroplan Miles will be awarded for purchases that may be made through a third party retailer or other merchant that may be linked to a participating third party merchant’s website.
5) Aeroplan Miles will be credited within 6 to 8 weeks of the shipping date. Aeroplan is not responsible for any delay in the crediting of miles to your Aeroplan account.
6) Aeroplan reserves the right to reverse any mileage credited to your account for any valid reason, including:

If you decide to register to the Site, you undertake to provide all required information and you represent that all information provided is true and accurate. Should the information provided change, you undertake to update your registration so as to keep the information current and accurate.
You further undertake to keep confidential any user name, account number or password provided to you as a result of your registration. You agree to be held liable and to hold harmless the Owner for any activity carried out under the user name, account number and password attributed to you. Should you become aware of any unauthorized use of your user name, account number and/or password, you have the responsibility of notifying the Owner as soon as possible.
4. Exclusion of Warranties
The Owner makes no representation or warranty regarding the functionality, good working order or condition of the Site, the information, applications, products, and services contained on the Site, its suitability for use, or its use in an uninterrupted or error-free manner. ALL MATERIAL, APPLICATIONS, PRODUCTS, SERVICES, AND INFORMATION ON THE SITE ARE PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. THE OWNER AND ITS AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WRITTEN OR ORAL, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. These exclusions are in addition to any specific exclusions otherwise provided in the Terms. To the extent that the jurisdiction to which you are subject does not allow exclusion of certain warranties, such non permitted exclusions may not apply to you.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Owner and its affiliates, as well as their respective representative such as, directors, officers, and employees, will not be liable, whether towards you or a third party, for claims, losses, costs, expenses or damages of any kind, be they direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive, arising out of or in connection with the Site, its content, or the use thereof or access thereto. For greater certainty, but without limitation whatsoever and notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the Owner and its affiliates, as well as their respective representatives such as directors, officers, and employees, will not be liable, whether towards you or a third party, for claims, losses, costs, expenses or damages of any kind, be they direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive, arising out of or in connection with the following:
a. Telecommunications systems breakdowns, underperformance, delays, interruptions in service, electrical failures and blackouts, including such failures and problems having a negative impact on the communication, transmission, accuracy or prompt reception of information, material, messages or instructions between you and the Owner or preventing, in whole or in part, the transmission of such information, material, messages or instructions;
b. your inability, at any time, to access any part of the Site or its content, or the products and services offered on the Site;
c. the interception, loss or disclosure of confidential or sensitive information communicated via the Internet, including personal information;
d. the lack of reliability, prompt access or availability of the Site or any part of its content and the products and services offered on the Site; and
e. the failure of the Owner to take corrective measures.
Your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using and accessing the Site. To the extent that the jurisdiction to which you are subject does not allow any part of such limitation, such part does not apply.
The exclusions and limitations mentioned above shall apply regardless of whether the claims, losses, costs, or damages are founded on a contractual or extra-contractual basis or on any other theory of liability, and these exclusions and limitations shall apply even if the Owner is advised of the possibility of such claims, losses, costs or damages.
Given that certain jurisdictions prohibit the exclusion or limitation of moral, bodily, incidental or consequential damages, the liability of the Owner in those jurisdictions is limited to the extent allowed by law.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that the Owner is held liable for damages you suffer related to the Site, this liability will in no case exceed the sum of $100.
6. Indemnification
You agree and undertake to take up the defence, indemnify and hold harmless the Owner and its affiliates, including their respective representatives such as directors, officers and employees, from all liability, claims, suits originating from a third party, and damages (including reasonable fees owed to lawyers and experts) arising out of or in connection with your failure to respect the present Terms or from any other act or omission on your part through your use of the Internet, your access to any website, including the Site, or access to any website by anyone using your computer system with your permission and on your behalf.
7. Copyrights and Trademarks
Material on the Site, including but not limited to texts, images, illustrations, software, HTML code, audio clips, and video clips, is owned or otherwise provided by the Owner who does not represent or warrant that such material does not infringe the rights of any other person or entity. The material on the Site is protected in Canada by the Copyright Act and in other jurisdictions by applicable international treaties and local laws. Consequently, the material on the Site may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, transmitted, distributed or modified, in whole or in part in any form whatsoever, including but not limited to text, audio, video or executable files, without the prior written consent of the Owner.
Trademarks, logos, and service marks including but not limited to the Aeroplan logo displayed on the Site, are registered or unregistered Marks of the Owner or others and the property of their respective owners, and may not be used without written permission from the owners of such Marks.
Nothing in the Site is to be interpreted as conferring a right to use the Marks or the material protected by the Copyright Act. You agree not to adapt, translate, modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any material, file, software or other element made available through the Site.
8. Information Transmitted
The Owner will use its best effort to maintain the confidentiality of the personal and confidential information it receives from you. The use of this information is governed by the privacy policy of the Owner. PLEASE REFER TO THE PRIVACY POLICY FOR MORE INFORMATION.
You however acknowledge that any unprotected e-mail communication via the Internet is subject to possible interception, alteration or loss and that the Owner will not be responsible for any loss or damages suffered in such circumstances.
Communications via the Internet are susceptible to interception, loss or modification. Thus, no personal information should be transmitted by you to the Owner by way of email, unless measures have been taken to ensure the security of said communications. The Owner may disclose information communicated by the user in order to satisfy the requirements of any law, regulation or governmental request to which the Owner is bound.
Owner and its affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers, and employees, take no liability whatsoever towards you or a third party for any injury or damages suffered in relation to any email sent to the Owner or by the Owner at your request. You fully take the risks associated with such communications.
You represent and warrant that the information or material that you provide electronically to the Owner by accessing or using the Site does not infringe the rights of any other person or entity.
9. User-Generated ContentThe Site may include comments sections, bulletin boards, chat areas, and forums (collectively "Forums") which allow feedback to the Owner and users, and interaction between users. The Owner does not control the messages, information or files delivered to Forums, unless otherwise noted therein. However the Owner reserves the right at all times to monitor, edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, that, in the Owner’s sole discretion, are objectionable or in violation of any of the Terms and to deny any user access to the Site. Users accessing Forums agree not to:
a) restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying Forums;
b) post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane or indecent information of any kind, or any blatant expression of bigotry, racism, hatred or harassment, including without limitation any transmission constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, provincial, federal or foreign law;

d) post or transmit or in any way exploit any information, software or material, for commercial purposes or which contains solicitations for sales or purchases, advertising, promotion or marketing;

f) use the Forums for any commercial purpose whatsoever.
By uploading materials or by contributing to any Forum, you automatically grant (or warrant that the owner of such material expressly grants) to the Owner a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable and non-exclusive right and license to use, copy, adapt, exploit, televise, broadcast, transmit, communicate, publicly display and perform, distribute and create compilations and derivative works from such submitted materials for any purpose whatsoever and in any manner, media or technology whatsoever, including, but not limited to all forms of television, wireless and online technology, now known or later developed. When participating in a Forum, you should never presume that people are who they say they are, know what they say they know, or are affiliated with whom they say they are affiliated. The Owner cannot be responsible for the content or accuracy of any information and will not be responsible for any reliance or decisions made based on such information.
10. Monitoring
The Owner may monitor access to the Site and other activities in relation thereto. The Owner may intervene at its sole discretion, for example to ensure conformity with the Terms or any rule of law or order, but makes no representation and gives no warranty as to said monitoring. By using and accessing the Site, you consent to said monitoring should the Owner proceed therewith and to any eventual intervention.

The Owner has not reviewed and does not expressly or implicitly endorse other websites or any information or material, or the accessibility thereof, via such links, and does not take any responsibility for any such other websites, information or material, products or services posted or offered thereon. You may not create links from other websites to pages of the Site other than to the main page, except if expressly permitted to do so by the Owner.
12. Accuracy of Information
While the Owner may update the information or material on the Site from time to time, the Owner does not represent or warrant that information or material on the Site is up to date, accurate, error-free or complete.
13. Responsibility for your Computer System
You remain entirely responsible for all damage caused to your computer system by (i) the connection, configuration, and compatibility of the different components of your computer system, (ii) the use of all material originating from any website whatsoever, (iii) access to any website, and (iv) the download of any data, software or viruses.
The Owner and its affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers, and employees, take no liability whatsoever for the illegal access to your computer system by hackers or for the quality, reliability, compatibility or speed of services provided by any internet service provider.
14. Virus
The Owner does not represent or warrant that the information or material, including any downloadable software, accessed from or through the Site will be uninterrupted or free of errors, defects, viruses or other harmful components, or that any such problems that are discovered will be corrected.
15. Damages to Others
You agree and undertake not to introduce in or through the Site any information or material that may be harmful to others. Among other things, you agree not to include, knowingly or otherwise, any error or defect in material or information that may, for instance, constitute libel, slander, defamation or an obscenity, or promote hatred or otherwise give rise to a criminal offence or civil liability on the part of any person or entity.
16. Reserved Rights
All rights not expressly granted in the Terms are reserved to the Owner. Nothing contained in the Terms shall be construed as conferring, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any license or right under any copyright, patent, trademark or other intellectual right of the Owner or of any other person or entity.
17. Governing Law
The Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable in Ontario, and the laws of Canada as may be applicable. You agree to be bound by such laws and to submit to the exclusive jurisdictions of the courts of Ontario whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in connection with the interpretation or application of the Terms.
18. Severability
If any provision of the Terms should be declared illegal, invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such illegality, invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect or render illegal, invalid or unenforceable such provision in any other jurisdiction, nor shall it affect the legality, validity or enforceability of any other provision of the Terms in any jurisdiction.

The Owner may modify, alter or otherwise update the Terms from time to time without notice and you agree to be bound by the Terms as soon as you access the Site.
If material changes are made to the Site, the Owner will notify you of such changes. Use of the Site following such notification entails the acceptance of the new terms and conditions.
20. Termination
You acknowledge and agree that the Owner, in its sole and absolute discretion, may, without notice to you, suspend, cancel or terminate your account or your use of, or access to, the Site or any of its services, and remove and discard any information or content related to the Site or any of its services (and your use thereof), for any reason, including where the Owner believes that you have violated any of the Terms. The Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Owner and you pertaining to your use of the Site, its services and content and supercede any prior or concurrent agreements, communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between you and the Owner with respect to the subject matter hereof.

Owner may transfer or assign all of his rights and responsibility without notice. You may not assign any of the rights granted herein.
