"What does this new agreement with Air Canada, TD, CIBC and Visa mean for my miles?"

We want you to be able to plan your perfect Aeroplan experience. While more information about Aeroplan's future is forthcoming, there are no immediate changes to your Aeroplan Miles. It's business as usual as you continue to earn and redeem your Aeroplan Miles.

"When will the agreement be finalized?"

Should the agreement in principle move forward it is expected be completed in fall 2018. Rest assured today's announcement won't impact your uninterrupted access to earning and redeeming your Aeroplan Miles for the many rewards available to you as a member of the program.

"What if the agreement doesn't get approval?"

Just like today, it will be business as usual and you would be able to continue to earn and redeem your Aeroplan Miles.

"I have an Aeroplan credit card. Do I need to get another credit card?"

There are no changes to your credit card. You can continue to enjoy the same benefits you receive with your Aeroplan credit card.

"Does this mean Air Canada is rejoining the Aeroplan loyalty program?"

Air Canada is a partner of Aeroplan today and will be until June 2020 and you can earn and redeem Aeroplan Miles with Air Canada and Star Alliance. Should the agreement in principle proceed, it will ensure a smooth transition to Air Canada's new loyalty program launching in 2020.
